- 1. FAQs
- 1. Where are the villas located?
“Manuel Antonio” is located along the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is named for Manuel Antonio National Park located only minutes away from the villa. Casa Moreno is also very close to the town of Quepos and the new Quepos Marina Pez Vela. It is located inside the exclusive Pajaro Azul 2 development that sits on a hill overlooking Quepos City and the Pacific Coastline. We are located on the same road taking you in minutes to Manuel Antonio Park, which was recently voted by Forbe’s Magazine as one of the twelve most beautiful parks in the World! Leaving Quepos and heading towards the Park, Pajaro Azul 2 is one mile from Quepos on the left. There is a large sign. Enter and go up 300 meters on the main drive. We are # 216 0n the left.
- 2. How many bedrooms and how many can they sleep?
There are a total of four bedrooms in the villa. 1)The Master Bedroom has a King Bed with a private bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a Queen Bed and double bunk. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are on the lower level. Both have access to the pool and house. Both have Queen beds. We have a pack and play, a high chair, and blow up mattresses. The Sofa converts to a full sized bed. All bedrooms have individual AC systems, comfort toppers for the beds, and protective covers for mattresses and pillows.
- 3. Do I need a car and how far are they from the beach?
The villas offers incredible views because they are located high on the hill inside the exclusive Pajaro Azul development. Walking up these hills can be challenging, so most guests choose to rent a car for more flexibility during their stay. However, taxis are readily available in the area and only cost around $8 to go almost anywhere and it is not common to tip taxi drivers, so this can be an economical way to get around. If you like walking, there is also public bus service available on the main road right in front of the complex. The bus passes every 1/2 hr or so on its way to the park and beaches, circling and returning back to the town of Quepos making stops along the 10 min or so route. The cost is only 50 cents per person! If you plan to take tours, most of those include the transportation, however most tour operators vans can not always climb the hill when fully loaded, so if you do not have a car, your property manager will assist guests with getting to their tour vans when needed. Guests should keep in mind that most local restaurants, as well as the local super market will deliver to the house, so this can be very convenient as well!
- 4. What amenities do the villas have? Are they air-conditioned? Is smoking permitted?
The house is air conditioned with six seperate systems. There is a private pool, a large pool deck with lounge chairs, pool towels, propane barbeque, washer/dryer, kitchen with pots, pans, blender, microwave, etc., dvd player, quality bed linens, hair dryers, car port, and everything else you will need for a wonderful vacation. We kindly ask that smokers go outside to protect other guests that may be allergic to smoke. Satellite TV with HBO, Cinemax and sports and and high speed wireless internet are available for our guests. These services are a monopoly in Costa Rica, so although rare, service can sometimes be sporatic, so guests should keep that in mind and realize that it is not within our control.
- 5. Are the houses staffed?
Apart from daily maid service and pool-cleaning (except Sundays), we have a professional property manager/concierge, Sabrina and Mefi, who greet you upon your arrival, shows you the town and the house, and can arrange for all the tours you may be considering during your stay. Upon reserving the house, Sabrina and Mefi will be in contact with you to help you with all arrival/departure arrangements, tour suggestions, restaurant information, as well as any other details you require to make the most of your time in Manuel Antonio. For those guests that really want to be pampered, Jennifer or Sabrina and Mefi can arrange chef service available for per meal, plus cost of food, or he can arrange a chef for the entire stay. Otherwise, guests can use the fully equipped kitchen to cook your own food or seafood catch (if you go Sport Fishing), or dine in one of the great restaurants nearby. Spa Treatments can also be arranged poolside or at excellent local spas. Tours can be arranged with Sabrina and Mefi either prior to arrival, or they can help you with that once you are in the area. We personally test all tours and guides to be able to recommend the best companies to our guests!
